About the Museum
Welcome to the Museum of the Navigation in Internal Waters, a museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, designed to give visitors a better understanding of the history of internal navigation in Central Italy. Originally founded in 2010, the structure was originally the municipal slaughterhouse. The museum is owned by the Municipality of Capodimonte. Our oldest object is a three thousand years old dugout canoe, discovered in Lake Bolsena, near Bisentina Island.
